Supporting Recovery Through Digital Rehabilitation

Successful treatment does not end with surgery. The period that follows requires structured rehabilitation, clear guidance and coordination between the professionals involved in the patient’s care. Within the ENCANTO project, Videoreha has developed a digital rehabilitation platform designed to support this process from the first postoperative day onwards.

After registration by an authorised healthcare professional, the patient receives a unique QR code linked to the assigned rehabilitation programme. By scanning the code with a mobile device, the patient gains free access to the application and to rehabilitation content adapted to the relevant stage of recovery. The programme is organised into connected phases and includes clear video and audio instructions for each exercise. All content is available in the languages of the participating study centres, allowing patients across the different countries to follow the programme more easily and with greater confidence.

Rather than replacing direct contact with healthcare professionals, the platform extends rehabilitation support beyond scheduled appointments. Patients have continuous access to their programme, while the professionals involved in their care can follow their participation and provide guidance when needed.

By connecting authorised clinical staff, external rehabilitation providers and patients within one digital environment, the platform supports continuity of care after discharge. In this way, rehabilitation remains structured and coordinated across the hospital, rehabilitation setting and patient’s home.
