ENCANTO Project Featured at the Orthopaedic Bridge Workshop in Reggio Calabria
On July 3rd, 2026, the “Orthopaedic Bridge Workshop – Knee Osteoarthritis: From Regenerative Medicine to Prosthetic Innovation” was held in Reggio Calabria, Italy, bringing together clinicians, researchers, and healthcare professionals to discuss the latest developments in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis.
The workshop provided a multidisciplinary forum for exploring advances across the continuum of patient care, with presentations covering regenerative medicine, cartilage repair, robotic-assisted surgery, artificial intelligence, and personalised rehabilitation pathways. Discussions highlighted the importance of integrating innovative technologies and translational research into clinical practice to improve outcomes for patients with knee osteoarthritis.
The event was organised by Università Campus Bio-Medico di Roma and Fondazione Policlinico Universitario Campus Bio-Medico and formed part of the activities of the ENCANTO project. Full program can be accessed here.
During the workshop, participants were introduced to the objectives and progress of the ENCANTO project, which is developing an innovative regenerative treatment for patellofemoral osteoarthritis based on autologous nasal cartilage cells and N-TEC technology. The event provided an opportunity to present the project’s research approach to a multidisciplinary audience and to foster dialogue between researchers, clinicians, and other stakeholders working in the field of musculoskeletal health.
